Privacy

This is a one-person shop. I am the only person who sees anything you send me, and I do not sell, share, rent or trade it with anybody.

If you write to me through the shop

The contact form keeps your name, your email address and your message, so that I can read it and write back. That is the only reason I have it. The shop also keeps a short count of messages per internet address, so that nobody can flood the form.

If you buy something

The card payment itself is handled by Stripe. Your card number goes to Stripe and never to this site — I never see it and could not store it if I wanted to. Stripe passes me your name, email address, phone number and delivery address, which I keep as the record of the sale: I need it to post the piece to you, and afterwards to know what I sold, to whom, and when.

Stripe has its own privacy policy covering what they do with the payment. If you would like a refund or a receipt, I can arrange it through them.

Cookies

The shop sets no tracking cookies, and there is no advertising on it. There is exactly one cookie and only I ever receive it: the one that keeps me signed in to my own owner area. Browsing and buying set nothing at all — which is why you are not being asked to agree to anything.

The site is hosted by Cloudflare, which counts page views in a way that does not identify you or follow you from one website to another.

How long I keep it

Messages: until they are dealt with and no longer of use to either of us. Orders: as long as I need them as the record of a sale, which for a small business means a few years.

Having your details removed

Just ask. Write to thesallyannroom@hotmail.com and say so, and I will delete your message — or your details from an order, once the sale is long settled — and tell you when it is done. You can also simply ask me what I hold about you and I will tell you.

Children

This shop is meant for grown-ups, and I do not knowingly collect anything from children.
