Brass-Cased Ship's Clock

c. 1940 · England

$620 CAD

This piece is available at $620 CAD. Delivery anywhere in Canada is already in that price — there is nothing extra to pay.

Paying by card on the site is not switched on yet, so I arrange each sale myself: write to me and I will confirm the piece is still here, photograph it for you, put it on hold while you think, and tell you how to pay. I will say in that note exactly how to pay and what the total is, and nothing is paid until you have agreed it. I will never ask you for a card number, and I will never ask you to pay in gift cards.

I am Sally, and I answer every message myself, usually within a day or two. If you need it by a particular day — a birthday, a wedding — tell me the date in your note and I will say straight away whether it can be done. Outside Canada? Write anyway and I will quote the carriage honestly before you commit to anything.

About this piece

A brass bulkhead clock with a silvered dial and a hinged bezel. The eight-day movement runs and keeps reasonable time, though it gains a minute or two over a week. Comes with its key. Four screw holes in the back plate from wherever it used to live.

Where it came from

It still smells faintly of brass polish, which I take as a sign that somebody looked after it for a very long time.
